{"id":134,"date":"2009-11-10T20:21:01","date_gmt":"2009-11-11T00:21:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jillcarson.com\/blog\/?p=134"},"modified":"2011-12-01T16:25:55","modified_gmt":"2011-12-01T20:25:55","slug":"weekend-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.jillcarson.com\/blog\/2009\/11\/weekend-5\/","title":{"rendered":"weekend #5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The fifth weekend in the house was when I got my promised furniture\u00a0from my parents:<\/p>\n<p>My inherited secretary (&#8217;twas my great-grandmother&#8217;s, then my\u00a0grandmother&#8217;s (on my mom&#8217;s side, the one I was named for) has been\u00a0relocated from my parent&#8217;s upstairs hallway to my living room, along\u00a0with a dining chair from the other grandparents, which technically\u00a0belongs to my aunt, but she hasn&#8217;t space for the dining table in her\u00a0house, so my parents are storing the table and chairs for her&#8230; and\u00a0now I&#8217;m storing just one of them as well. I still love that bed, and I&#8217;m glad to get to use it in my\u00a0home. No photos of that room yet, though.<\/p>\n<p>And I have a tv stand, instead of merely an end table with my tv\u00a0placed on it and DVD and VHS players underneath. A hand-me-down from\u00a0my amazing parents, this is a fake wood stand with an added shelf\u00a0created by my dad. I decided to paint it black instead of introducing\u00a0yet another shade of wood to my living room, which was absolutely the\u00a0right decision &#8211; it looks quite handsome in its corner, and holds my\u00a0meager DVD collection quite well&#8230; along with my still quite vast\u00a0tape collection.
