This happened a bit early, actually, since my floor guys are busy for the next two weeks, so the final coat of poly on the floor won’t go on ’til two Wednesdays from now, and so I decided that the stove doesn’t really need that final coat underneath it – I’d rather have my kitchen back.

Today they also hooked up the dishwasher and installed crown molding, and I put in the filler to the right of the dishwasher so it’s enclosed. That was fun filler to install, too – I had to drill from the inside of the blind corner cabinet, so I ended up taking out the pullouts and actually crawling into the cabinet to get the angle I needed. The filler came out looking nice, so it was worth it.

I failed at the one other piece of filler I have left- between the cabinet run and the pantry cabinet, there’s a space that’s just a tiny bit narrower than a toekick – turns out, a jigsaw is not the right tool to trim off a quarter of an inch from a 30″ long piece. I’ll go back to Dad’s tablesaw for that one.

Also, look at how neatly the stove fits in its spot! I didn’t get to talk to them after they put the stove in, so I don’t actually know if it went in smoothly, or if there was wedging involved, but it has pretty much no space to either side of it at all.
