“In the Shadow of Trees” 11" x 17", 2004
This photograph was taken looking up through the branches of a favorite magnolia tree, and I incorporated the text of Robert Frost’s poem “On Going Unnoticed” by running each stanza along a tree branch. The poem talks about forests and the permanence of trees in comparison to people.
